It's the bones I tell ya, the bones.
This is almost too good to be true. I can actually gloat and be unashamedly thrilled about it! Well what are you talking about, D.C. Glad you asked...the Romeo and Juliet stunning archeological find has now taken a turn to the darker side of reality. Even so, my gloating comes from knowing that there was more than just a "1,000 yr old Lover's Embrace" theory to be explored. I was so right. yaaaaaay!!
The first time they discovered bones lying together they made it seem like a romantic explanation was the only possible one. Well what have we here...sounds like the tune has changed a lil' bit. Now they are talking about ritual sacrifices as a possible explanation for the discoveries.
Though I'm sure that they could have easily turned this photo into a three some sexual encounter if they wanted to and dated 3-ways back to the era of these bones. That may have been a lil' too over the top for most of the world to accept and less romantic. Atleast if they throw in the sacrifice words, they can get the flow of sympathy from the entire world.
This article in Aol News shows again that things are not always as they appear in the media.
Remember this article, if not just go back to it and see what the whole world said about the situation. Then take it in, and formulate your own thoughts.
Wake up your minds people. Don't allow anyone to steal your ability to think for yourself! I said it in my earlier post about these bones and I'll say it now too...THINK PEOPLE!!!
This has been my Public Service Announcement!!!

That's what I was thinking when I read your post. You were right on the money with that one. Good work P.I.D.C.
thanks, nic. i was about to jump outta my seat when I read that this morning. coupled with the fact that I was just about to do some google research on a writing project that I am going to burst into tears about when it's done...I felt a huge huge sense of pride.
lol...PIDC....ur funny!!
I agree DC. I am one who questions things and sometimes I am looked at funny. I say you never know. I don't buy some of the ish that scientists say.
whenever i question shit folk tell me i'm being overly cynical. meanwhile, i'd rather be overly cynical than lead blindly towards someone else's version of the truth.
Yeah Nikki. LOL. My fellow lionness.
Funny how some folk will sit listening to a conversation lost instead of asking questions to get clarity. I also notice some folks who don't like being questioned take for granted folks understood them or even think like them. And common sense ain't common. LOL.
yeah - skepticism doesn't always go over so well when the entire world is glued to the tube. thanks for this post!
Just goes to show that you shouldn't believe everything people throw at you, even if everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon of saying it's true. We live in a world where people are easily (mis)lead by sound bytes, cherry-picked info, and trumped-up front page headlines that end up having to be retracted later (usually in small print in Section E of the paper---the part no one reads). Folks have their own agendas for painting things a certain way, and it usually involves competitiveness, ego, the pursuit of power, and a lust for money (people in the science community, like these archaeologists and paleontologists, go down in history over their finds and theories, so competitiveness, ego, power, and a lust for money are certainly involved).
In the Age of Chicken Little, everybody's trying to get their fifteen minutes, even if it means advancing false information and/or distorting the truth. Investigate things for yourself. Investigate the Chicken Littles...that's usually where the real story is. Follow your instincts.
Good job, Damon!
what up Shai, Nikki and DC Savvy? Thanks for those comments, ya'll.
3 months later, I feel kinda empowered...LOL...yayyyy
it is most unfortunate that cynism/skepticism is easily dismissed as a trouble maker. Thank you all for being thinking people.
Lo: the reference to Chicken Little is most appropriate. Leave it to you to find things like that. You're da bestest!!
Aw thanks, hon. You know I find a way to relate everything to chicken.
"Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear."
**Not my personal quote but it's definitely a favorite of mines**
dido on ms.b's quote pick...and ESPECIALLY when it comes to stuff the media puts out there.
I totally agree. All too often we see something in the news on some other media and instanly think it's true. with the amazing abilities to photo shop, we should always questions things and of course think for ourselves
welllllllll...i feel great now. More thinking folks!!!

I question EVERYTHING that the media...no matter of fact...everything that is said in this country. They paint the picture they want us to believe and we buy into it lock stock and barrel...highest forum for brainwashing is the news...I Don't Believe You, You Need More People!!!! (that's my Motto)
hey now...what up chokkk, lisa, and royces daughter?
glad y'all appreciate the article and I was thrilled to write it into existence 3 months ago.

ROFL!
that is not funny, Monica. I'm just going to gloat for today only. I resort to my regular self at midnight.
like a pumpkin...
devil's advocate is my middle name so i understand where you were coming from with the first post and yes...the media are definitely the worst when it comes to the portrayal of EVERYTHING!
I know that's right, unknown diva. I know that's right.
DC this should not surprise anyone that is part of the reason who some of those europeans fled to america in the first place because of cultism mixed with religion.
Remember they use to dunk suspected witches under the water if they floated they were witches if they drowned and died they werent witches and their soul would go to heaven.
European scientist and religious scholars have been trying to prove the superiority of europeans over all others. In england They even fused a monkeys and neandethal skull together to prove that man first evolved in europe and not africa.
Also Im sorry to be contrary but I will take the scientist word after deliberation of course over the preachers or any other holy person 8 days a week. Good post brotha DC and good morning my clevland friend.
heyyyyyyyyyyyy, mark. thank you, brotha. Good morning to you too!
I just watched a show on the history channel about the Black Codes. Let's just say, I'm still in shock. And damn how come I never knew about this?
