I just met you today...but I'm madly in love with you---repost

This post is particularly funny to me. My surfing the web, hooking up on myspace, online dating sites, and answering various surveys must have me marked as a sucker or something. I must have the cyber stamp "try him" right on my forehead. I know I'm not the only one that fell for the trick, but I didn't get got. Almost did though.

Let's kick this around the campfire.

I doubt that I am the only one that was on a site and all of a sudden some gorgeous woman/man send you a long email saying that they are a student in the US and had to return to Africa. Since this is my blog, I'll stick with the women. The email would then go on to tell you that she is the best thing since sliced bread and that she wants to get married and make a family with you(the fella). "oh my God, you're the man of my dreams..I just like for to be marry" just fuggin up the grammar. I mean bad a$$ pics where you would be like damn she chose me. Fuggin super model types like my girl, Tyra.

So then, after the shock of being contacted by some beautiful image, the next line comes in. "I would very much love to come be with you to marry and love you for the rest of our lives making you happy in every way possible and giving you all the children that you ever wanted." Again a long story that is sure to include the "L" word about 5 times..LOL! A number of different tasks are asked of you to do.

1. Please send money to me in Nigeria, Ghana, or some other country so that I can get a ticket to come back to the states(of course to be with you)

2. I am doing business with clients and the government won't allow for me to accept the money orders that they are going to pay with, so can you cash the money orders..take 10% for your commision and send the rest to me western union.

3. I am trying to close on a house and I sent them too much money, can you cash the money orders/travelers checks for the down payment and send me back the difference minus your commision.

4. I am the attorney that is looking for the long lost relative of my extremely ungodly rich/dying client in bed diagnosed with breast cancer, H I V, or in a coma and their last request was to find their only family in the states..or find a charitable institution to give money to.

5. I am about to be put out of my hotel and my manager is giving me less than 2 days to come up with some money. If I don't have it, I will not have anywhere to go.

There are so many it's not even funny anymore. The other thing is Russian women targeting white men or black men that like white women. I just stopped a guy in my office from sending out $500 for plane ticket cause his a$$ is so desperate that he believed(as she provided to him a flight number and itinerary)everything she said. The ruse is top notch indeed.

BUT!!! MY FRIENDS, I am here to tell you that what you are really talking to is...(drumroll please)...........DUDES!!!

These dudes are so crafty as they sit around in a "Boiler Room" environment with the laptops flowing sending out hundreds of emails to love starved suckers daily cause like they always said "there's a sucker born every minute". Now like I said earlier, I was not the victim of the trickery, but I did receive 5K in money orders to laugh about one time. I just didn't cash them.

I wonder if anyone else has been caught or almost caught up in this trap. Is there anyone that will accept this challenge of their story or someone that they know?

Who's up for the challenge?

My super secret special spot

This is a camera phone pic on the docks at Cleveland's Edgewater park. It was a cool breeze and the sun was shining. It was also my favorite place to go to think and work things out in my hard head. I had never taken anyone here before because normally being around people is what motivated me to go. I recently I shared this moment with a special person (Lo) and now it will forever be "our" spot.

Do you have a "special place" to go? If so, would you take someone else to your sacred place and share with them the thing that is you?

in need of a pick me up...HELPPPPP!!!

I've had a rough couple of days. Everything was kinda smooth and free flowing, then a bump in the road became a huge pot hole and my day has been shitty ever since.

I logged into my yahoo account and this video was on the front page. I clicked it and got a little laugh. I need a huge pick me up. I am sincerely requesting that anyone that prays to God the Father in the Name of Jesus via the power of the Holy Spirit to do so for me and mine.

Thanks, fam and have a great weekend.

Pot Luck Friday...part XIV

Dis shole duz look good!

This forum is officially a smash hit. I am excited to present once again POT LUCK FRIDAY.

What I would like to do is get some feed back from some non blogging readers or some bloggers that don't have the time to blog right now. An open forum, if you will. For example, the BET Awards, folks killing their family or how Eddie Murphy indeed was that baby pappy(lol..I loved the movie "life").

There is no topic off limits! I know that relationship posts are common but be more specific. What element of the relationships? Finding one, keeping one, how to get out of one..all are up for discussion and friendly debate.

I am an information junkie! Garbage in--garbage out! But, I still like to process information. So, I'd like to try to start a day where the readers are in control of every single question, we take the comment that is posted right before you, answer their comment question, then post your own question for the next person. We can discuss it in a civil manner. If it goes well, then it could be really fun. I must exercise more moderation on the personal topics comments. I got a few emails from some participants and I must agree that some of the comments were hurtful and should be handled off line...privately. Let's have fun and keep it clean...please---thank you.

Have a fantastic weekend and let's come up with some great questions to kick around the campfire!

So without further delay.....who is up for the challenge, part 14?

The most important person in the whole wide world is you!---repost

Over the weekend, I had some time to think about today's blog. Originally It was going to be a ha ha, funny type of post but before I did that...I had to clear my head on some other things. In fact, I challenge everyone to look inside themselves and learn to be happier. Let's throw this one around the campfire!

I was pondering relationship patterns of future, current and past situations. Even in the course of a recent conversation, I was told that when romance is over, How do I get past it so fast? What is the deal breaker that allows for me to push on and get past people. I had to seriously give thought to both male and female relationships. What is the cut off point? Whose fault is it? When did things change? Was it really as bad as it seemed at the time? Was that person cheating, if so..what did I do create the setting? Why me?....wasn't I good enough? Was that person immature and did I just find out too late? Did I believe that my trust was misused? Was that person just a worthless piece of sh*t? Is it worth it to maintain communication?

How does it look to my loved ones? If someone told me to beware of the relationship, would I have listened or tell them to mind their own business? Is it bad to put myself first sometimes? Or...am I just damaged goods from my last failed relationship?

The reality of having some of these questions raised regardless of whether it was a romantic involvement or with one of my boys helped me reach an epiphany. Like anyone else, I cleaned out my phone book several times over the last year. I've had some of my boys really try to do me dirty and for some reason I let some of those rotten Motherfu ****s hang around for far too long. Romantically, it was more difficult because the heart was open more and I probably didn't want to act impulsively. However, a man's got to do what a man's go to do. My Biblical teachings say to turn the other cheek and to love my neighbor, but ummmmmm...sometimes I'm admittedly not that Christ like in my approach. And, I'm certainly not claiming to be an angel or the "bad guy" on occasion, either.

This is a very touchy subject with some and may even help others. The purpose of this blog is to really get into the minds of where people are today. Single, Married, Male, Female, Heterosexual or any category....it matters not!!! It transcends romance and friendship, moving into self-awareness and introspective acknowledgment. A serious look at oneself is great therapy. I once thought that me enhancing a woman that I was dating was only going to benefit the next man. Why not? Someone is doing that for me right now and they don't even know it. We all carry a lil bit from all of our past relationships. Why hate on the guy creating my perfect fit for a woman with his bullshit? He's only helping me out! Or why not help a brotha in need and bless him for once? Maybe he will return the favor and pay it forward to someone else when/if he makes a come-up.

Lastly, make sure that you love yourself enough to let someone else love you. You deserve the very best that God has to offer you...don't you?

Here's a question: The title of this blog came from a 70's PSA, but "Who is the most important person in your world?"

Who's up for the query?

Sometimes ya just gotta say...WTF!!!

Keeping in line with the "theme days" so that I don't drain all of my reserve tank dry from working on book projects, recruiting, and blogging, there shall be another instituted theme day. Today and henceforth Wednesdays shall be named...WTF WEDNESDAY!!!!!

There is no set subject. Anything that is on your mind. It is an open forum where the first lines of each comment start with WTF...now that could mean what the frick, where the frick, why the frick, who the frick, etc., but each comment should start with WTF.

Here's a prime example of a WTF moment in THIS YAHOO STORY about possibly finding an Egyptian Queen's Mummy remains. WTF(who)...is gonna figure that out?!

Have fun and keep it as clean as possible, fam.

Have a fantastic day!

The Barbershop rule---Repost

This is a true story of an account that happened at my barbershop recently. I had to go see my dude "T.K." because my beard/mustache, sideburns was looking a little too much like "Wolfman Jackson".

While waiting to be cut next, I noticed that his woman was there in the shop sitting in one of the chairs. I give dude mad props for having her picture up on the wall behind his station, so I immediately recognized her and said "Hey, you're _____." She laughed and asked me how I knew. I told her that her face was a dead give away...the hairstyle often can't hide a face that I see every week.

Anyway...dudes talk in barbershops normally in very free types of conversations. The things they certainly would not say around their woman definitely may come out in the chair. Watching bootleg DVD's, listening to hip/hop uncensored music, playing chess, checkers, reliving former sports days long since past or laughing at old boxing matches on dvd/tape...man stuff. So as multiple conversations arose, generally about women, I noticed her getting real salty...

...so I decided to stoke the fire a little bit by reminded the fellas that there was a woman present and that she shouldn't be privvy to all this "man talk". Man the sh*t hit the fan then! She came at us with all the stories about no good brothas not taking care of their kids at home, hangin out with their boys, needing that "me time" was an excuse to kick it...on and on. Replies of "well if she(meaning whoever he was kicking it with)didn't like the way she was getting treated, then she can leave...there's plenty of fish in the sea"...or the classic line of "oh, well..." far too many to list anyway. She came back like she was defending the entire female gender like a champ though. I was just listening.

To my surprise most cats kinda settled down and I was like nahh f**k that...there is a place for dudes to have these conversations and I told her that she was "infringing on our turf"! My barber jumped in and defended most of the statements being made by the fellas and agreed with my assessment. He was like"see..you shouldn't be up in here anyway" I applauded his resolve, but doubt seriously if he got some that night! LOL!

I know that this topic may sting a little bit but my question is this..why would a woman feel it necessary to invade a barbershop and talk sh*t? Do we need to have the unwritten law amended as a constitutional right to have one place where we can congregate without being harassed? If the shoe was on the other foot and a dude was in a hair salon, women would have tried to string us up by our nuts.

Now an exception to this scenario is if the barbershop is also a hair salon too. With that, it would have to be battleground zero everyday of the week...LOL!!!

I would like to get some feedback if possible regarding this matter. Anyone up for the friendly conversation?

10 Things about me/Random Facts...

Fellow blogger at Dave's Wandering the Ether tagged me a couple of weeks back and I never posted the answers to this meme.

Let me state this for the record....I hate doing these things...LOL! He was kind enough to ask, so I will oblige his request and post my answers.

Well, here it is for the world wide web to see---10 random facts about lil ol' me.

1. I hate rollercoasters, but I love helicopter rides.

2. In my early years, I wanted to be a Chemical scientist.

3. I had the largest comic book collection in my entire neighborhood.

4. My first dog(I was 5) bit me on the lip and had me afraid of them until I was 13.

5. I used to dip cucumbers in worcestershire sauce and salt as a snack.

6. My nick name was "Damon Munster" cause I told on all my uncles and cousins to my grandma whenever I saw them doing something wrong.

7. I actually had reddish/brown hair until I was about 10 yrs old.

8. I wrote a letter to the "Facts of Life" show and fell in love with Kim Fields when they sent me back an autographed picture of the cast.

9. Fellow blogger, long time child hood friend, and author Emanuel Carpenter and I used to have belching contests and put them on tape...which I still have...hahahahaha.

10. I danced in my junior high school as a back up dancer to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video.

I am not tagging anybody else...but feel free to do it yourself if you'd like to.

Thanks again, Dave!

Happy Tuesday, fam.

Monday Musings

It's Monday Musings time again. Over the weekend, I had an opportunity to bond with my Godson, Luis. A handsome young fellow that just graduated from high school and is embarking on a new life journey as a United States Marine.

and enjoyed several pieces of this...

When he told me months ago, that he wanted to go into the armed services, I was both shocked and slightly disappointed. I know the state of affairs when it comes to the war going on and dreaded the possibility of having someone that close to me potentially headed over into war.

I took advantage of several moments to tell him that I supported him and love him, but inside I felt worry and fear. If I let that show, would I put unfair pressure on him? Yeppers, I surely would have.

I guess seeing the amount of people dying for a war that I don't personally see a need for confuses the issue of me wanting to see him enlist in the service. In reality, he has things all planned out over the next 5 years of his life and I know people that are twice his age that are clueless about their lives.

I wonder if it's normal to be proud and have dread at the same time about the same thing. They say that two pieces of matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Someone should come up with a similar explanation for human emotions.

Am I tripping---or what?

Who's up for Monday Musings query?

My first time

wow..it's been a long time
seems like an eternity ago
far too young to be in my prime
frontin to others claiming to be a "pro"

fluttering stomach, sweltering and the shakes
Sweating and nervous all on the inside
Talked too much trash-can't "pump my brakes"
She was waiting, glistening could she tell that i lied

slender, seductive frame that had me wide open
straddling the top of that long erect pole
nowhere to hide false actions turned spoken
I slid up next to her about to bare my soul.

eyes closed and I clumsily reach for her
grasping air, hoping she would understand why
i righted myself and felt an aura of power
and in that moment she calmed my cries

i stood frozen in the moment looking down
she gave no indication of resistance to my charms
I pulled her in closely, loosening her from a metallic gown

then slowly...
I
recited
my
first
public
poem.

Who is the Master?...is it in you?

Ok, so I borrowed a couple of cliches and strung them together...LOL!!!

I certainly didn't think of myself as the Master but when I watched this movie as a kid---I got extra hyped up. I remember being in my martial arts instructors house asking him if he thought any of those moves were real and he said, "yeah, they're real...real Hollywood." I knew what he meant, but I wanted to think he was wrong so I learned this movie's moves so I could be the next martial arts movie star. It didn't work and I could only do some of them.

In case you forgot what the last scene was like, check it out right here.

What movie did you know all the words and the body movements to? This was but one of mine. What's yours?

Enjoy the clip and the trip down memory lane for the people in my age group. Smile!

Happy Saturday!!

Why We Cry...An Email That I Got Yesterday

I thought this was funny and obviously written by a woman. I'll post it for the purpose of getting some male and female feedback. Personally I think it's extremely lopsided.

What do y'alls think?

Guys cry because...

1. Girls screw them over...
2. They just got hit in the balls...
3. They're about to die...
4. Their heart is broken...
5. Because they are true men.

GIRLS: If you see a guy crying, hug him close and hold him up as he gets over the pain of getting kicked in the nuts. Tell him he's not going to die, and if he's crying over a girl...hug him and kiss him and let him know you won't screw him over and break his heart like the last girl did. Guys just want to know that our girls will be there for us to support us when we need them and help us get our mind off the pain of heartbreak, getting kicked in the balls, and knowing we're gonna die.

Girls cry because...

1. They're sad...
2. They're scared...
3. They're nervous...
4. They're frustrated...
5. They're missing someone...
6. They're alone...
7. They're PMSing...
8. They're pregnant...
9. Their heart is broken...
10. They're in love...
11. Their souls have been torn...
12. THEY MET A BOY THEY CANT HAVE...
13. They fell in love with a boy...
14. They hurt so bad inside...
15. They're mad...
16. Something bad happened...
17. JUST BECAUSE THEY FEEL LIKE CRYING...
18. Because they got hit in the chest.

BOYS: If any girl you know is crying and you see them, don't just stand there and say you're sorry. Hold them and tell them everything will be okay, even if you have no idea what is wrong with them. Girls just want to be held and know that someone cares about them.

School House Rock Thursday-Interplanet Janet

It's here again. School house rock time...LOL!

Gather your kids and show them what they missed growing up.

Enjoy, family.

Who comes up with these rules---repost

In some recent posts and conversations over the past month or so, I have come to the conclusion that much of what and how we define our lives is outlined in some "rulebook" or behavioral guidelines. I rebuke the rulebook and choose to be an "out of the box" thinker!!

Here are some that I want to throw up for discussion:

1. Waiting 3 days after getting a phone number to call-so you don't look desperate
2. What is cool about having the 1st date as a movie or dinner
3. Placing a time frame stipulation on having sex ie: 3 month rule(NEVER!!!!!)
4. Waiting for the night to end to get the "good kisses"
5. Making the first move is the man's responsiblity
6. Why do u have to have a fight to get the "animalistic sex" or break up to make up?
7. What does the 1st one to call back after an argument loses---prove?
8. When is the "don't have to call 1st before stopping by" go into effect?
9. Should the man pay for every date/outing?
10.What is off limits conversation when the purpose is to get to know each other?

I was just curious and named a few that came to mind...there are thousands that are applicable..

Who's the first batter up to take a swing or to add to the list of rebukable rules AND WHY???

Monday Musings

A fellow blogger was inspired to do a "Wednesday day of wisdoms" and I loved the concept. I encourage you to visit CapCity's blog to find out more. I feel a little too goofy to copy so I shall just call it ...Monday Musings. I love theme days...also check out ThrowBack Thursday's on the World According to Cortney Gee and Ray Ray's Sun Times page. Oh and of course..Potluck Friday.

It's Monday morning and I just dropped my older son off to a 6 week live-on campus summer educational/social program at a great university in Cleveland. Yesterday was Father's Day and my younger son lives in GA with his mom. I am temporarily childless and it's a really weird feeling. I am still a father, but have no child to directly impact for a few weeks. It's rather strange to be experiencing the empty nest symptoms being so young.

Anyway here's my question: If you had several weeks of time off of being a parent (not that you could actually do it)...what would you do with yourself? A lot of people never get an opportunity to be child free once they become parents. Would you love it or hate it? What are your thoughts? I'm straight confused.

Who's up for Monday Musings query?

It's the 150th blog post. YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

The revolution will not be televised...Gil Scott Heron

Although I have a blog that was prepared to be posted today, my revolutionist ideologies will not be televised! I choose to read the blogs of every single person in my new found family to support your flow. Several new fam's posts have truly given me more appreciation of all of you.

I shudder to think what can be accomplished in the world of writing if we continue to draw inspiration from each other and support the creative flow in even this small community.

With the risk of sounding soft...I need everyone to keep up the good work so that I can draw from your strengths so that when you need it...I'm right there for you with your own reserves.

Enjoy, fam.

School House Rock Thursday!!Interjections

Let us take a pause to recognize some of the shows in the 70's that helped teach us some things that we were able to use once we started talking.

This is for my fellow bloggers and other literary homies..

Make sure that you use proper grammatically structured sentences!!!LOL(except when typin internet slang and acronyms)...smile

That's why I'm watching them now!

Game time is 9pm EST on ABC.

SO "RISE UP" CAVALIER FANS!

*If you're watching the game, you know by now that Avant didn't perform, rocker Ben Harper did instead, playing a slide guitar version of The Star Spangled Banner that was faintly reminiscent of Hendrix's masterful rendition.

Help Find Stepha Henry.

Thanks to our blogger friend CreoleinDC for alerting us to this story via her blog about a young woman named Stepha Henry...

...who went missing in Lo's hometown of Fort Lauderdale on May 29th. Missing persons reports about people of color, particularly young women and children, don't receive nearly the amount of coverage in traditional media as they should. As a part of the blogosphere, we want to do our part to help. If you feel so inclined, please do the same by posting this young woman's photo. Someone might see the photo and be able to provide valuable information to the police. It takes a village...

Here's the news account of what happened:

The family of a woman who disappeared from a Fort Lauderdale nightclub pleaded for the public to come forward with leads.

In quiet, grief-stricken voices, family members of a girl missing since last weekend's Memorial Day celebrations made a public plea for any information regarding her whereabouts.

Stepha Henry, 22, was last seen partying at Peppers Cafe, located on 3828 N. University Dr. in Fort Lauderdale, at 1 a.m. May 29.

Steve and Sylvia Henry flew down this week from their home in New York to help search for their child.

''I'm going to stay in Florida until I find my daughter,'' Sylvia Henry said Wednesday, speaking at Miami-Dade police headquarters.

As Miami-Dade homicide detectives joined the search, police said they would work around the clock to find her.

Henry, a recent graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, flew down from New York for Memorial Day weekend to celebrate her sister's 16th birthday. The Henry sisters had been staying with their aunt and cousin in Miami Gardens for the weekend and planned to fly home May 29.

The night before she disappeared, Henry told her family she was getting a ride to Peppers from a friend. Her sister stayed home.

A videotape taken by a promotional group at Peppers shows Henry at the club.

But she never made it home.

Calls placed to Henry's cell phone went straight to her voice mail. The petite woman was last seen wearing a black dress with a white tank top underneath and brown heels. She was carrying a brown clutch purse. Henry, who has long bronze hair, is 5'2'' and 110 pounds.

''It's been very hard. She is not the kind of girl to run off. If anyone has seen her, I am asking that you please come forward,'' Henry's mother said Wednesday.

Emily Chin's family owns Peppers Cafe.

''No one at Peppers knows anything,'' said Emily Chin, whose family owns Peppers Cafe. ''I just hope that her mother finds her.'' Chin added that Peppers employees didn't know Henry was missing until they saw her story in the news.

A vigil was held at Henry's college campus in New York Wednesday, the school said in a news release.

Miami-Dade Detective Roy Rutland said police are looking for information regarding the driver of a dark-colored four-door Acura Integra, who picked Henry up at her aunt's house.

Anyone with information can call Miami-Dade Det. Brigette Robert at 305-418-7200 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.

Miami Herald: Missing grad's mom seeks answers

It's the bones I tell ya, the bones.

This is almost too good to be true. I can actually gloat and be unashamedly thrilled about it! Well what are you talking about, D.C. Glad you asked...the Romeo and Juliet stunning archeological find has now taken a turn to the darker side of reality. Even so, my gloating comes from knowing that there was more than just a "1,000 yr old Lover's Embrace" theory to be explored. I was so right. yaaaaaay!!

The first time they discovered bones lying together they made it seem like a romantic explanation was the only possible one. Well what have we here...sounds like the tune has changed a lil' bit. Now they are talking about ritual sacrifices as a possible explanation for the discoveries.

Though I'm sure that they could have easily turned this photo into a three some sexual encounter if they wanted to and dated 3-ways back to the era of these bones. That may have been a lil' too over the top for most of the world to accept and less romantic. Atleast if they throw in the sacrifice words, they can get the flow of sympathy from the entire world.

This article in Aol News shows again that things are not always as they appear in the media.

Remember this article, if not just go back to it and see what the whole world said about the situation. Then take it in, and formulate your own thoughts.

Wake up your minds people. Don't allow anyone to steal your ability to think for yourself! I said it in my earlier post about these bones and I'll say it now too...THINK PEOPLE!!!

This has been my Public Service Announcement!!!

Remote Control Relationship...pt 1(A)

Hey, fam. Part one of this series focuses on the factors that allow for men and women to exert their will over their mate. It will discuss a few of the methods used by some to keep people "in line" even when they aren't in their presence.

We can highlight the obvious on both sides of the fence and then delve a little more into the not so obvious.

Some of the best ways to exert control is by focusing on two powerful emotions: Love and Fear.

If I use the example that is heavily quoted in today's society "Would you rather be loved or feared"...A Bronx Tale, the significance of that line is shocking to the core and that is a prime example of how remote control is exerted.

1. Fear of loss: people will do strange/accept things when they fear being alone

2. Loves Looks: people will compromise themselves over and over again if they feel that their mate is too attractive to let them go.

3. Fear of physical: people will certainly cut short everyday living situations for fear of a physical confrontation

4. Love the attention: people will be so accustomed to getting the attention that they don't want to be ignored.

There are so many examples and I just used these 4 because they are easy to use. All of these feelings can cause a person to be "controlled" by their significant other even if time elapses or a person even moves out of town. The feelings of guilt/shame or just starting the dating game over again makes some people feel trapped and they can't get out...thus they are now being "remotely controlled."

The purpose of these posts are to recognize the patterns and give ourselves a fighting chance at falling back in love with ourselves. Not being defined by what another individual's influence over us projects, but by knowing and loving whom we are.

This is part 1(A) of a series on the remote control relationship bandit patterns. Stay tuned for regular updates.

It is extremely important that we not only change the channel of behavior, but that we also grab the remote and shatter it into millions of pieces...before we simply fade to black...

Anyone care to shed some additional light? The floor is yours.

Cavs vs Spurs series Update: Spurs up..2-0

This tandem is killing the Cavs.

Got some of this...but waaaaaay too late in the game.

This is the most under-rated point guard in the NBA...He is amazing.

Now that the update is out of the way....

GO CAVS!!!

Now I am forced to show you the Photo of the day that hurts my heart.

Monday Morning Musings

A fellow blogger was inspired to do a "Wednesday day of wisdoms" and I loved the concept. I encourage you to visit CapCity's blog to find out more. I feel a little too goofy to copy so I shall just call it ...Monday Musings. I love theme days...also check out ThrowBack Thursday's on the World According to Cortney Gee and Ray Ray's Sun Times page. Oh and of course..Potluck Friday.

Anyway...my morning has been absolutely fantastic thus far. The only dim spot I've had is the sportscenter reporting on the Cavs game last night.

As I got myself ready to take my son and his fellow scholars to school at 6 am, I had a moment to ponder on responsiblities. More to the point, is there a standard age for increased resposniblities or what should I expect from a 15yr old? Should I even be driving these kids to school, or should they be bussing it like most of the other student in their school. I was perplexed to say the least.

Here's my question that I pose to you. Does making it easier for teenagers mean that we are enabling them or giving them a break before they reach adulthood when the "real" responsiblities kick in?

Anyone care to chime in?

Potluck Friday...part XI

Dis shole duz look good!

This forum is officially a smash hit. I am excited to present once again POT LUCK FRIDAY.

What I would like to do is get some feed back from some non blogging readers or some bloggers that don't have the time to blog right now. An open forum, if you will. For example, the drama on "The View", American Idol results or how current employers use sites like Myspace as a screening tool to weed out potential employees.

So without further delay.....who is up for the challenge, part 11?
