Cheating..Part III

Ok, so now we dealt with cheating in the body, emotionally and mentally. I think we can actually take it a bit further than that---if you would allow me to do so.

How do we view cheating time at work? Does working on various tasks, hardly work related, count as cheating? Is yahoo or AIM messenger up on your screen? It is on mine?

The Holy Bible does reference honoring God in all that we do. If we don't give 100% on our jobs---what are we doing?

I heard recently from a friend of mine that the company he works for makes so much money off of him every hour and pays him a fraction of that money---so he justifies doing what he wants. He works on computers, gets a decent wage, but the company bills out hella large ends for the service call. I suppose that's how businesses stay in profit. I can understand that.

Here's something to chew on. If you were like me and was raised with the mindset of "looking out for number 1" or the "i gotta get mine...you get yours". Why would we look at borrowing company time, paper, stamp machine, or even paper clips any differently? Especially when we know that noone ever gets paid their true value at any company. We all deserve to get paid more than we currently do.

I must admit...I cheat when it comes to that. LOL

This may not be the most popular cheating topic, but it deserves to be addressed.

I AM A CHEATER!!! and I'm proud of it.

What do you do at work to be a cheater? Or if you don't cheat, feel free to laugh at those of us that do.

Who's up for the challenge?

Yeah, I cheat. I agree with Justme. LOL. Plus there were times I gave WAY more so it balances out. I used to be so stressed with my former job duties. Being in the same office with new duties is freeing. I worked my azz off at times.

Since I now work at home & primarily work for myself I have to cheat less on myself. Kind of like dieting - i know what i need to do...but i'm drawn to things that are less "urgent".

Good post, DC!

@Cap: glad you don't have to report in like that...its pretty liberating huh?

I'm my own boss, so that makes it kinda tricky. Is it cheating if I steal paper clips and staples out of my own home office? Does that mean I'm cannibalizing myself?

My head hurts.
