A Picture Says Millions of Words

I found this picture over at The Huffington Post and I absolutely love it.

It's very clear to me that Sen Barack Obama doesn't want to engage in the same type of political tactics as his democratic opponent HRC. As I am not a paid member of the campaign, I am capable of expressing myself however I choose. Yet, I will not call HRC out of her name, I will not diminish the accomplishments of her tenure in public office, I will not give in to my personal feelings on her campaign spins, instead I will only become an information broker and allow readers to draw their own conclusions.

I'm still awaiting a very public apology from Mainstream Media and HRC regarding the NAFTA Gate accusations to Sen Barack Obama, since the Canadian Government has already exonerated him and his advisor. Having multiple witnesses to support a call being made to a Canadian official from the HRC campaign, not Mr. Obama's has to be publicly acknowledged. There was no mistake at the damages caused by the MSM(mainstream media)attention to the matter. Sweeping the updated version under the rug, without giving it the immeasurable attention the negative story cast...is well questionable for lack of a better word.

here's an excerpt:
"Mr Brodie ... stopped to chat with several journalists, and was surrounded by a group from CTV.... The conversation turned to the pledges to renegotiate the North American free-trade agreement made by the two Democratic contenders, Mr Obama and New York Senator Hillary Clinton.

Mr Brodie, apparently seeking to play down the potential impact on Canada, told the reporters the threat was not serious, and that someone from Ms Clinton's campaign had even contacted Canadian diplomats to tell them not to worry because the Nafta threats were mostly political posturing."

According to this story in The Globe and Mail which is the equivalent to the AP in the U.S.

Another point of reference the 140 pardons granted by President Clinton on the last day of his term.

Here's another interesting excerpt:
"Former president Clinton issued 140 pardons on his last day in office, including several to controversial figures, such as commodities trader Rich, then a fugitive on tax evasion charges. Rich's ex-wife, Denise, contributed $2,000 in 1999 to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign; $5,000 to a related political action committee; and $450,000 to a fund set up to build the Clinton library.

The president also pardoned two men who each paid Sen. Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, about $200,000 to lobby the White House for pardons — one for a drug conviction and one for mail fraud and perjury convictions, according to a 2002 report by the House committee on government reform. After the payments came to light, Bill Clinton issued a statement: "Neither Hillary nor I had any knowledge of such payments," the report said.

The pardon records released by the library divulge little that might settle debate about those and other pardons. But they do shed new light on the volume of clemency requests that former president Clinton received — and the pressures he and his staff faced as friends, advisers, political leaders and foreign heads of state weighed in to influence which petitions would be granted."

Maybe I'm not understanding the favors and money thing as being highly ethical.

This has been my (information brokering)Public Service Announcement.

The Clinton campaign is showing its true colors. I just wrote a post about them today.

It's hard to diminish her accomplishments. What's less than zero?

In all fairness, Mr. Obama is only slightly less experienced/accomplished. Their views on the issues are just about identical.

Beyond that, there are big differences. HRC has a lot of baggage of past scandals and criminal activities and obstruction of justice that BHO just does not have. He also has the makings of a national leader, and likes to reach out and include. HRC tends to insult her opponents and lie a lot (I remember one of her Senate speeches in which it was hard to find one truthful statement in it).

DC, thanks for keeping us informed.

You'll probably never hear an apology from the media, because they are doing the CYA dance. Most of the media is "bought" as it is and we know Hillary knows the game WELL.

I also noticed all the pardons when Clinton left office back in 2000. The only one I could clearly stand up and cheer for was Kemba Smith. Emerge magazine did a HUGE write up on her and her story.

I'm an Obama supporter, but the pro-Barack slants and spins in the media coverage of the democratic primaries is stomach turning.

I totally understand that to the victor goes the spoils, but American media have tried their best to coronate Obama as the Democratic nominee for months now. Long before Super Tuesday and Super Duper Tuesday (or whatever they dubbed the day of the TX, OH, RI, and VT primaries).

This picture, for example, screams to me that Hillary is aged and tired, is cowering and unable to run the country.

When Time features a Barack Obama image, he's presented as youthful and strapping and ready to literally take on the world.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying...
