Pot Luck Friday...part XVIII

Dis shole duz look good!

This forum is officially a smash hit. I am excited to present once again POT LUCK FRIDAY.

What I would like to do is get some feed back from some non blogging readers or some bloggers that don't have the time to blog right now. An open forum, if you will. For example, the BET Awards, folks killing their family or how Eddie Murphy indeed was that baby pappy(lol..I loved the movie "life").

There is no topic off limits! I know that relationship posts are common but be more specific. What element of the relationships? Finding one, keeping one, how to get out of one..all are up for discussion and friendly debate.

I am an information junkie! Garbage in--garbage out! But, I still like to process information. So, I'd like to try to start a day where the readers are in control of every single question, we take the comment that is posted right before you, answer their comment question, then post your own question for the next person. We can discuss it in a civil manner. If it goes well, then it could be really fun. I must exercise more moderation on the personal topics comments. I got a few emails from some participants and I must agree that some of the comments were hurtful and should be handled off line...privately. Let's have fun and keep it clean...please---thank you.

Have a fantastic weekend and let's come up with some great questions to kick around the campfire!

So without further delay.....who is up for the challenge, part 18?

who has never been to my corners of the blog-world & why not?

HAHAHA! (DC, u said we can ask what we want;-)

Talk about a self-serving question. . . . then again, it is pot luck. Not necessarily gonna like everything at the table. My question is this, which movie was funnier this summer, "Knocked Up" or "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry"?

BK said...

Ummm cap I think I been once or twice but never made my way back..

Organized.. didn't see either but that might change this weekend.. I do have a movie date..

why come *yes I said why come* do you want an international phone when the farthest you have gone is FLORIDUH? da hell!

Dave J. said...

Cap, you know I've been there, and I will continue to visit again & again :)

ON, I haven't seen either. But now there is that new one they show previews for, that looks funny too. You know the one. It has the kid who gets the fake ID but it has only a last name on it "McLovin."

Then the cop takes it from him, and he looks at and goes "What the? This doesn't even have a first name... Mclovin!? You supposed to be some kinda sexy hamburger?" hahahahoyeah. Something about that just makes me laugh.

DC, how much fun you going to have this weekend? :)

dc_speaks said...

@Cap: so it seems...lol

@ON: I haven't seen either of them yet. lookin forward to it though.

@bk diva: hahahahahah just incase they leave the country. it's always best to be prepared...hahahahaha

@Dave: lots and lots...high school reunion weekend.

Q: how many of you have had the person ask on your blog: "the questions is can you keep a secret?" hahahaha

Ticia said...

@ Cap Yes,I have been there---
@ DC.... Yes, and I don't understand why!?!?!?!?

@ Org Noise... I haven't been the movies in 7 mos

Infamous JP said...

CAP... Been there twice I think.
ON... Have not been to a single movie this summer. Sad, but true.
BD... Cause the phone company wants you to talk to Juan on his donkey in Columbia while gathering coffee beans.
DC... No. Secrets are for kids and international spies.

Now my question:
Which state is the worst state of the union and why?

dc_speaks said...

@JP: worst state of the union and why huh?....

right now, I'd have to say texas after finiding out how the laws of the land are adjusted to suit the racially fugged up state of affairs there. I just learned of some laws there that could sentence someone to death even though they didn't commit any murders. they have some whack laws....and on a lighter note. the spurs beat the cavs in the NBA finals.

Cap: I have been there on a regular.

It has been slow here on Potluck Fridays. What has everyone been doing this summer?

dc_speaks said...

ticia...I have family in your city. Ill start sending them to your blog and try to make a connection for ya...lol..

dc_speaks said...

hey shai: I've been working on many projects and haven't really been hosting the blog the way I used to. Perhaps some new readers will help bring it back to life. lol...where you been?

Q: who will win the democratic nomination for president?

KIKI said...

@DC...Go Barach!

Question...Am I the only person on the planet who's never seen "Ugly Betty"? What the hell is it about that show? lol

BK said...

well i think a lot of folks are using flex hours on fridays now shai so they aren't bloggin.. they out enjoyign the weather!!!

Creamy or vinagerette?

Ticia said...

DC holla at me!!!!!

Organized Noise said...

@ bklyn diva . . . My office doesn't have flex hours anymore (some recently promoted supervisor used to get off at 2pm on Fridays during the summer and be in Philly eating cheesesteaks before the rest of his office got off. . . not that I'm saying I know that's what he did, but I heard things), so people just come in and "get sick".

It's 94 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I feel a cough coming on . . . do I smell cheesesteaks?

dc_speaks said...

@Bk Diva: vinagerette or however it's spelled. I hate ranch or thousand island and blue cheese dressing.

Q: Who else watched so you think you can dance..last night?

BK said...

Hmm like I'm about to do now..

*achooo damn them summer colds*

LOL

WASSUP ER'RYBODY??

Question: Is it true that Duane Martin confirmed he is gay--and that he and Tisha Campbell's marriage is ending as a result??

CapCity said...

LOL! Thanx for those who actually entertained my question - i was up late & delirious;-). but it was funny to me...hee hee...SERIOUSLY too - i DO appreciate ALL who come thru my spot & the luv u give:-)

ON - didn't see either - will check em on DVD...

bklyn diva - that international phone question is hilarious! some of us don't really need unlimited long distance withIN the states. LOL!

dave - not sure how much fun i'll have yet - but i'll be enjoying the heat wherever i am;-)

dc - never had anyone ask me that question - but then i'm not good @ secrets. lol!

infamous - hmmmm, as a person of color who descended from slaves i think any state that continues to fly the confederate flag shows a lack of respect for the struggles of My people...that was a deep question...kinda sobered my silly mood...but tha's cool:-)

shai - my summer - been getting my life back in order before i re-enter the work force & even traveling a bit:-)

dc - everyONE knows who has won my heart regardless of the outcome;-) Obama forEVAH!!

kiki - i LOVE "UB" - the few times i watch tv;-). My Hispanic friends here hipped me to the fact that it's based on a novella latina (spanish soaps)...

bklyn - vinaigrette ...for the heart;-)

OKay...less self-serving question;-) =

When/if u go to a REAL potluck - what do U normally contribute?
(me = beverages;)

dc_speaks said...

lol@Cap: hahahah the answer is hotdogs and pre packaged hamburgers or snacks like chips or store bought potatoe salad.

q: is there a difference in the taste of whole milk vs. 2% milk?

CapCity said...

dc - yes, for someone who hates milk - 2% is less "thick" ...can't drink whole milk = too phlemy...sorry;-)

dc_speaks said...

@ms b: I have absolutely no idea what his sexual orientation is. I'll let someone else answer that question.

Q: summer heat or winter cold?

Organized Noise said...

@ capcity . . . no bad intent on the "self-serving" comment.

At family dinners, I'm responsible for cookies, brownies, and cheesecake.
