Oh... I stayed up all night watching HISTORY!! Man - as an African American - I felt honored to be apart of Obama uprising - as a Chicagoan - I felt so proud -
MAN - We need to pray for him as we celebrate - He is going to have a battle to fight - But ... The Lords says, the battle is not yours, its the Lord -
He's made us proud and something the young generation can be proud of. The youngsters need to know, if they just dream big enough, they can be whatever they want to be!
What makes me smile is to see young AA men and women with pride on their faces. We have to encourage th youngsters and use Sen./our future president Barack Obama as an example to them that if they dream it, work hard at it, they can achieve it.
what I'm afraid of is yeah we all would love Obama as president, who wouldn't? A lot of people. Obama and McCain are obviously incompatible, one's clearly more qualified (Obama) and one isn't. The resulting votes should be a landslide; but with this society, McCain may get into the White House simply because he's apart of the Caucasian persuasion, not because he's more qualified. If you actually look at his platform in comparison to Obama's is there really much need for debate?
And it's infuriating to know that Obama might lose just because he's apart of the black pack. But hey, Just VOTE!!
